Our 20 day Middle Eastern Adventure Itinerary

This Christmas we spent an action packed 20 days exploring the Middle East. It was my first time to this region of the world and I was extremely impressed by the amazing sites and wonderful adventures that awaited us throughout the four countries we visited. Check out our video recap of our adventures through Istanbul, Dubai, Oman, Abu Dhabi, Jordan and Israel!

 

Our Itinerary:

IStanbul

Day 1: Istanbul, Turkey

-15 hour layover

-Explore the East and West sides of Istanbul

Dubai

Day 2: Dubai, United Arab Emirates

-Explore Old Dubia and the surrounding Souks

-Set sail on Royal Caribbean’s Splendor of the Seas

 

Day 3: Khasab, Oman

-Visit the Khasab Fortress

-Snorkel and dolphin watch on a Dow Cruis

through the fiords

Day 4 & 5: Muscat, Oman

  • Hike along the seashore to downtown Muscat taking in abandon fortress and the Grand Incense burner
  • View the Royal Palace, Al Jalali Fort and Mirani fort downtown
  • Visit Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque
  • Take a day trip to the Bahla Fort and surrounding hot springs

 

Day 6: Relax on the boat at Sea

 

Day 7: Abu Dhabi, UAE

-Explore the New and Old Palace

-Visit some of the pristine beaches

-Explore some of the largest shopping malls in the world

Dubia at night

Day 8 & 9 Dubai

-Explore New Dubia

-Marvel at the Manufactured Islands

-Go to the top of the worlds tallest building, the Burj Khalifa

*Book your tickets ahead for big savings

-Watch the Dubai Fountain Show

-Check out the amazing Dubai Mall

Amman Jordan

Day 11: Amman, Jordan

*Be sure to purchase the Jordan Pass when visiting

 

-Visit the Citadel

-The Roman Theater

-Roam around the Souks

Petra

Day 12: Petra

-Marvel at the many amazing sites throughout Petra and take some small hikes

-Spend the night in a Bedouin Cave and learn about the culture with traditional

food and uncountable amounts of food

Wadi Rum

Day 13: Wadi Rum

-Take a tour to the major sites of Wadi Rum

-Spend the afternoon hiking through the desert

-Spend the night in A Bedouin encampment

 

Day 14: Aquaba

-Snorkel around a sunken military tank

 

Day 15: Eilat- Tel Eviv, Israel

-Cross the boarder from Jordan to Israel

-Explore the sea town of Eilat and take in the contrast of Jordan and Israeli life

Jerusalem

Day 16: Jerusalem

-Take a free Sandeman tour to get an over view of the major sites

-Explore the sites of the city

 

Day 17: Jerusalem & Bethlehem

 

Day 18: Galilee, Nazareth, River of Jordan

Day 20: Fly out of Tel Aviv, Israel
